Jay Z’s TIDAL Streaming Service sold 33% of company to Sprint (Read)


In 2015, Jay Z acquired and launched the music streaming service from Swedish tech company called Aspiro for a reported $56 million.


Tidal offered an artist-friendly streaming service that would compete with the big names of the music streaming service industry by offering exclusive content from big names like Beyonce, Kanye West, Rihanna and more.

Sprint will pay an estimated $200m for a 33% stake in the company. That’s a huge return for Tidal and Jay-Z, which is a 970% increase in the past 2 years.. putting Tidal’s value at 600M!
