RIHANA unveils ‘LIFT ME Up’ video featuring new ‘WAKANDA FOREVER’ Scenes

Rihana while standing on born fire in the video, released a new song ‘Lift me up’ which is also written by Rihana. She has released the official clip for her new song which is giving viewers a couple of fresh looks at the upcoming film, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

The majority of the video shows Rihanna standing by a bonfire while alone on a beach in a white satin dress and warm shawl. The singer appears in the video at various periods during the night and while watching the sunrise, suggesting that the sequences were likely shot overnight.

The “Lift Me Up” video is the first song from the soundtrack of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever – Music From and Inspired By, which will be released on November 4.

Images from the teaser of the song

The first few are images from the teaser trailer that Marvel published in July, which many believe to be scenes from King T’Challa’s funeral service. The video also features a few additional clips from that particular trailer, including Lupita N’yongo’s portrayal of Nakia gazing out over the water.

The images are from Wakanda Forever, which opens in theatres on November 11. This has been woven into the movie as a means to memorialize Chadwick Boseman as well, as two distinct shots seem to reveal the moment when Queen Ramonda, which is played by Angela Bassett, and also a teary-eyed Okoye (Danai Gurira), first learn of T’Challa’s death.

Review about “Lift Me up” music video

She remarked, “I was trying to do this man and his family justice when I recorded ‘Lift Me Up,’ which was moving for me,” according to Coogler in an interview with DX. I was attempting to create something deserving of what he had given us. So, that’s why, I can’t claim any credit for that. We were all merely actors.

Director’s statement about the song

The director added that, just as Kendrick Lamar was the ideal choice to write the theme song for the first Black Panther movie given the circumstances of his life and career, Rihanna was the ideal choice to write the theme song for the sequel with “Lift Me Up” due to her recent experience becoming a mother.

Given that parenthood is a natural fit for us

Motherhood is a major element in this film, so it felt appropriate for us, Coogler added. “And that kind of worked out for her time. In a similar vein, Kendrick kind of assumed this crown as we were wrapping up the first movie. What were the possibilities that Rihanna would become a mother after we finished filming this?
